Family Project
This was a commissioned piece for my inspirational older sister. An athlete with countless medals and achievements under her belt. Among those is one of her biggest competitions, World in Birmingham that I was forunate enoungh to witness her and the rest of the GB team win Gold for there team.
So for that medal she need a stand that medal and given that It was specle case for this unique medal she aked me to mkae somthing that would show off thsi medals features.
The Key feature of the medal are that it in two parts joined at a privet point allowing the center the spin freely. so with this in mind I knew that the design would need to allow for free movement while being a free standing object so it could of on a mantle pieces or table.
This was defiantly a very precise project. the distance between the base and the to had to be just right or the ribbon wouldn’t hang right or the medal wound spin. similarly if the grove in the base was a little of the medal wouldn’t hang straight or spin.
however this wasn’t a problem bit I did make sure to take my with each step.
a lot of this project was documented on my Instagram where you can see all of my work
